Back is of two pieces of quartersawn maple, with a wide curl sloping down from the center. Ribs, neck, and pegbox are of maple. Table is of medium-grained spruce. Pegs are of wood, inlaid with mother of pearl. The proportions are distinctly squat, which is especially pronounced by its diminutive size. Golden brown varnish.
