Modern five-string banjo with round pot of laminated wood covered with nickle-plated steel. Neck and pegbox of mahogany. Fingerboard and pegbox cover of ebony inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Fitted with 22 raised frets of nickle silver and strung with steel wire strings. 24 screw-tightening brackets of nickle silver are attached on the outer side of a tambourine-like rim of laminated wood. The "thumb string", short fifth string, is placed parallel to the lowest string and secured by a peg inserted into the side of the neck at the fifth fret position. Nut is made of ivory. Marple bridge caped with ebony.
